Death is often a taboo topic; however, individuals and societies can achieve a greater appreciation for living by exploring the wisdom of death and loss. This course will examine issues and rituals surrounding death, dying, and non-death losses that trigger a grief response. The course takes a personal, professional, cross-cultural, and multi-disciplinary approach to understanding what loss and grief can teach us.
