Child counseling and play therapy

Children need to be treated differently from adults when they receive counseling. Students who are interested in children, particularly those who pursue counseling, social work, or psychotherapy, must be aware of how to counsel children. This course will introduce students to theoretical and practical approaches to child counseling. An emphasis on the theories and techniques of play therapy will be included.
