Scientific Communication

This course creates a space for students to communicate science projects, ideas, and findings - orally or in writing - and to discuss effective presentation strategies. The course will include lectures on presentation and communication techniques. Students will be required to communicate about their own research projects, and will obtain feedback from peers and faculty. Students will submit a self-evaluation of their first oral presentation or written communication, to describe the improvements for a second version, which will also be evaluated in writing by a panel of peers and faculty. Students enrolled in Honors and Independent Study are especially encouraged to register.
