Description
Course Description This course focuses on providing an introduction into the field of applied psychology. We will look at the application of psychological principles in the workplace, the courtroom, music, and sports. The idea behind this class is to exchange ideas about applied psychology, and experiment with the application of psychological principles in both personal and professional settings. The class is heavily discussion and participation based, with much of the class assignments finished in class. Each class will start with a short lecture/introduction by me, followed by discussions and group work. Note that you will be called upon to answer questions or make comments about class topics, so be prepared and read the materials assigned to class. Be advised that I expect you to treat this class, and school in general, as preparation for the job market. Therefore you should act that way in class and any unprofessional behavior in the classroom or in email communication will influence your participation grade.
