Description
This course introduces students to the principles, strategies, and applications of Motivational Interviewing (MI), a client-centered, evidence-based psychological approach designed to enhance intrinsic motivation for behavior change. Students will explore the theoretical foundations of MI, including its origins in humanistic psychology, self-determination theory and behavioral science, as well as its core principles of collaboration, evocation, and autonomy support.
