Description

This course aims to deepen your understanding of how to conduct culturally-competent mental health care with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, queer, intersex, and other LGBTQ+ communities. We will discuss ethics and best practices for mental health counselors and researchers. You will also practice self-reflection and build self-awareness surrounding your own gender identity and sexual orientation, and the ways in which this shapes your work as a clinician, and your dynamics with clients.
