Description
ECO 21670/24200 is a follow-on to ECO 21650, Financial Statement Analysis and Modeling Part I. Like its predecessor, this course is focused on teaching students to use the tools of modern financial analysis in real-world settings. Our goal is to make students more marketable when seeking positions and more successful once they are hired because they hit the job running. Bloomberg is one of the highest-quality sources of financial data and analytics and is widely used in the financial community. With ECO 21670/24200 , we will teach students to apply the Bloomberg Terminal (available in CCNY’s new Bloomberg Lab) to equity analysis (forecasting and valuation) and portfolio construction – resume-enhancing skills. Instructions on these topics will provide real-world training to think analytically to make smart financial decisions. Further, students will earn a Certificate from Bloomberg after participating in Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC), instructional materials designed to prepare students to enter the financial markets.
