This course is an introduction to the biological and psychological processes involved in sleep. Topics will include circadian rhythms, polysomnography, the function of sleep, sleep deprivation, neuro-imaging studies of the sleeping brain, sleep disorders, dreams in human and other animals, function of dreaming, dream interpretation, nightmares and analysis of the content of dreams.
